System Failures 002: Apple Bandai Pippin

History
Did you know Apple released a game console of their own years ago? I’m willing to bet many people didn’t know this either. Also back then (around the early to mid-90′s) Apple as a company was struggling to compete against fellow PC manufacturers Microsoft and Intel. After seeing what Sony was doing when they released the Playstation, Apple saw an opportunity to reclaim former glory by creating a gaming console of their own.

History
During the mid-90′s, it was becoming more and more common to see people not only have a handheld console (such as the Game Boy) with them, but also a mobile phone. Nokia thought, “Hey, let’s make the ultimate device that is a cellphone and gaming machine in one!”.
